The United Services Automobile Authority (USAA) is a San Antonio-based Fortune 500 diversification financial services company of businesses. USAA was established in San Antonio in 1922 by a community of 25 U.S. Army officers became a tool for collective self-insurance because they were unable to obtain car insurance because of the belief that they, as military officers, were a high-risk party.
