11. Auto Club Exchange (AAA Insurance):
The American Automobile Association is a federation of motor clubs across North America. AAA is a privately held, non-profit national member association and service organization with more than 60 million members in the United States and Canada.
AAA offers programs to its stakeholders, providing emergency help and other facilities. The regional offices are based in Heathrow, Florida.
The first road charts of the AAA were issued in 1905. In 1917, AAA started publishing hotel guides. The Triple-A began its School Safety Patrol Program in 1920. The first of the organization’s Driver Safety Programs, which also provided local schools with components, such as badges and ID cards. Thet was to train and organize students into patrol forces. The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, which performs research on the health of vehicles, was founded as a separate organization in 1947.
